TLC TREE has opportunities in the field of Professional Tree Care Services for a Tree Climber Professional serving TLC's clients in Southern, Central and Western Maine and Eastern New Hampshire. TLC is a service-oriented tree care company based in the Sebago Lakes Region.

DUTIES: The Professional Climber provides tree removal, tree trimming, pruning and elevation services for TLC clients. Services provided include taking down dead or live trees, pruning treetops, elevating the lower branches of healthy trees, repairing damaged trees, tree care maintenance including removing dead wood, seasonal or aesthetic pruning, trimming and elevations, and additional duties as required. A TLC Professional Climber is responsible to properly maintain, prepare and operate all equipment and gear necessary for his/her job including but not limited to tools, saws, safety equipment, apparel and climbing gear. The Professional Tree Climber position operates as part of a crew with supporting Groundsmen and a Crew Foreman/Tree Care Safety Specialist/Licensed Arborist as required.

- Driver’s license highly desirable and may be required.
- Commercial driver’s license (Class A or B) preferred and may be required to obtain down the road, depending on future staffing and job requirements
- Completion of SRT Professional Tree Climber Training
Certificates and Licenses:
- Maine State Arborist License preferred
- Pesticide license desirable but not required for this position
- Line clearance certification preferred
- Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience preferred

- Working in the Tree Care Industry: 2 years before ascending to a climbing position

- Felling/Taking Down Trees around Buildings, Roads and Other Structures (highly desirable): 2 years
- Operating a Chainsaw while Climbing (required or demonstrate strong desire to learn): 1 year

- Operating a Chainsaw (required): 3 years
